Lowell Bradshaw pushes digital and biotechnical information into new forms of visual possibilities. By manipulating images drawn from electronic media within the field of painting, the spaces he creates open multiple discursive readings and a contextual tension that oscillates between cohesion and erasure. More importantly, perhaps, the artist enlists the pleasure of looking to animate the work, engaging seduction, curiosity, and the drive to uncover new and liberating spaces to inhabit.
