Advisory Committee Members


Michael Garland

Michael Garland is the Chair of the Gallery Advisory Committee.  A Secondary School Teacher (Retired) and community organizer, he also sat on the Board of Directors for ROCK Missions Homeless Support.

Garland is a photographer who recently opened a studio in Chatham where he practices his craft and teaches analog photographic processes.


Vicky McFarland

Vicki McFarland is a married mother of 3.  She retired from a full time roll with Enbridge in 2019, after a career spanning nearly 4 decades.  She was an Industrial Sales Manager, managing contracts for large industrial accounts across southwestern Ontario.

Vicki’s full-time art career, after her retirement, has gained a notable following and continues to fuel her dedication. Her work may be seen in many galleries and private collections worldwide.

Vicki’s work is known for its interplay of transparent layers of color.  She has an intuitive understanding that color relationships embody human emotions.   


Scott Taylor

Scott Taylor was born and raised in Chatham.  His interest in photography started while attending school in Lindsay, Ontario.  Following college his career took him to Dundas, Kingston, and many other destinations throughout North and Central America, West Africa and Southeast Asia.   His love for photography grew and transformed itself into professional practice. 

Upon returning to Chatham, Scott became a member of Artspace and continues to show his work in galleries and on-line.


Marlee Robinson

Marlee Robinson's career as a Curator, art historian, fundraiser and event planner has spanned 6 decades. She has been a guide/lecturer at the Tate Gallery London, Manager of renowned British sculptor/printmaker/professor Sir Eduardo Paolozzi and Senior Curator at the Bermuda National Gallery. 

Since returning to Canada in 2007 she has been Chair of Ridge House Museum, founding member of the Mary Webb Centre, Co-Chair of the 2010 Ontario Heritage Conference, member of the CK Tourism Stakeholders Committee and member of the CK Art Advisory Committee and executive member of the Ridgetown Horticultural Society and the East Kent Celebrates Committee. 

Marlee was a founding member of the CK branch of the Architectural Conservancy Ontario (ACO) and is currently a Director-at-large of the ACO provincial Executive and Board and former Chair of their Government and Community Relations Committee.  


Susan Jeffrey

Susan Jeffrey has actively advocated for the visual arts in her community for over three decades. As owner of the William Street Café, Susan provided a much-loved meeting and exhibition space for the creative community, including classes, lectures, performances, book launches and openings. Her years working in Chatham's downtown core have given her a personal appreciation for art's vital role in creating a vibrant, diverse community.

 An eager participant in art classes and a happy observer of theatre and musical performances, she is now focusing on volunteering her time to give the residents of this community safe places to learn, listen and create freely.


Clair Culliford

Clair Culliford moved to downtown Chatham eight years ago. Since then, he has bought many paintings and prints by C-K artists; has performed in “The Thames River Revue,” “The Painter Tom Thomson In Chatham,” and “William Blake, Poet & Artist;” and has written bunches of poems and prose.

He prowls the downtown, looking for clues about life, love, and laughter.
