Connecting ART and PEOPLE in CHATHAM-KENT
ARTcrawl is back on July 29th 2022 from 5:00-10:00 pm. This year’s theme is All Dressed Up... and Places to Go!
This growing downtown celebration of CK local arts and culture returns with whimsical new ways to engage with the
arts. Participants crawl at their leisure during this FREE Summer event, creating their own moving party!
King Street will be closed between 4th and 5th streets to accommodate this celebration of art, artisans, fashion, music and food. As always, there will be lots to choose from, including 8 artist openings, live musical performances, artisan demonstrations, a poetry reading, interactive museum displays…. and even a live fashion show.
The evenings events commence with an artist reception and opening by the Underground Film Collective at ARTspace at 6pm. Pick up a handy map while you’re there so you don’t miss any of the performers and events listed as you make your way down King Street. The evening culminates with artist receptions for the spotlight event featuring former CK residents and Professors of Fashion; Colleen Schindler-Lynch and Grahame Lynch. Their exhibitions at the Thames Art Gallery are a much-anticipated event. What better way to welcome them back to CK than ARTcrawl 2022.
Both artists will be in attendance at this reception beginning at 8pm. Don’t be late!
