Make Music with Planet Earth’s Magical Mud: Create a Clay Ocarina!
Clay is under the earth all around us. Learn to shape a small clay vessel with a mouthpiece. It’s a bit techy to make the sound hole. Try until you get it! Create small holes in the vessel. Now blow through the mouthpiece and MAGIC – musical notes!
The Ocarina is an ancient musical instrument found in civilizations all over the world alongside their pottery. Make a simple version today!
*To change your clay Ocarina into a ceramic piece it needs to be fired at a high temperature in our kiln. Or, take it with you as leather-hard clay. In this state, it is completely recyclable. Just place it out in your yard when you are finished playing with it and let the elements turn it back into mud. 100% recyclable!
