Local river clean-up, sponsored by the Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority in collaboration with the Thames Art Gallery and GardenShip and State exhibition.

The Lower Thames Valley Conservation Authority is partnering with Thames Art Gallery for the river clean-up, as part of the newly opened exhibit GardenShip and State! The exhibition brings together 21 artists and writers who engage in decolonial critique, environmental activism, and twenty-first century artistic practices to address what is arguably the problem of our times: environmental catastrophe.

Come together for a fun, family-friendly event to help keep our river beautiful! Recommended to wear sturdy shoes and long pants, We’ll provide garbage bags and gloves, so all you need to bring is your enthusiasm.

Following the clean-up, meet back at the gallery for 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm for an artist talk and live interactive performance and socializing.
