The Thames Art Gallery would like to offer our community an opportunity to collaborate with the artist Amy Friend in her upcoming exhibition, “Assorted Boxes of Ordinary Life.” This exhibition draws inspiration from a small box of keepsakes and photographs that came into the artist’s possession.

You can be part of this exciting project by donating one object of your choice. The object you select should inspire your curiosity but not be so valuable as the object will not be returned to you as it will continue to be part of future installations of “Assorted Boxes of Ordinary Life. “

Please select one object and place it in a zip lock bag. Include one line of text (hand-written or printed) for you object. Please bring your donated object to the Thames Art Gallery at 75 William St N on August 24, 25, 26, or the 27th during gallery hours from 11:00 a – 4:00 pm.

All accepted object donations will be on display in the Project Room of the Thames Art Gallery as part of Friend’s exhibition running from September 9 through November 5.

Amy Friend is an internationally celebrated photographer showing across Canada and countries such as Spain, the UK and Korea. Amy is an Associate Professor of Studio Art at Brock University.
